Who is the English ADOS-2 assessment for

We carry out the assessment in English when English is your child's dominant language, or one of the languages they use every day. An evaluation in a familiar language gives a more accurate picture, because the child communicates naturally and the result is not distorted by a language barrier.

We see bilingual families, families of expats working in Silesia, children returning from abroad, and parents who simply want the diagnosis done in English. Few centres in the region offer ADOS-2 in this language, so we welcome patients from Bytom, Katowice, Gliwice and across the whole province.

The same gold-standard test, in a different language

ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) is the gold standard in autism spectrum diagnosis. The English assessment uses exactly the same standardised protocol, delivered by a certified diagnostician in English. After the assessment we issue a written report. The report can be prepared in English or Polish, depending on your needs, for example to present at an international school or to an institution abroad.

What to expect

The assessment is led by a certified diagnostician and combines a structured interview with the parents and direct observation of the child during tasks and play. It is not a questionnaire, but a hands-on evaluation. We offer a one-day option, where the interview, the assessment and the written report are all completed on the same day.
